Hairil Sukaime is a born-and-bred Singaporean with Javanese roots. This culinary school graduate has a penchant for unpretentious food, home-cooked dishes, street food, and hawker fare. The self-confessed avid daydreamer also has an undying fascination and profound respect for food and food-related nostalgia. Strongly believing that every day yields a new learning experience, he continues to immerse himself in almost anything and everything food-related; especially those involving Singapore, traditions, and history.

Singapore’s extensive array of food, cuisines, and cultures provide the perfect backdrop for anything food-related. The blog was initiated as a channel for penning thoughts, memories and experiences related to food, as well as an avenue to display homage and reverence for the myriad of things we fill our bellies with.
